Fiberglass reinforced
plastic (FRP) grating have been engineered not only for high strength, but also
to overcome corrosion problems found in chemical and mining industries where
corrosive products are used. These are areas where metal grating rapidly
deteriorates or creates a constant maintenance problem. FRP Grating is a
cost-effective solution with the following characteristics
Corrosion Resistant. Easily
outperforms metal grating.
Fire Resistant.
Non-sparking. Ideal where
combustible gas or materials are present.
Non-conductive. Good where
electric hazards are present.
Non-magnetic. Use in sensitive
locations where the magnetic properties of metal grating are proven to be
unfavourable.
Low thermal conductivity. An
excellent insulator and safeguard against inadvertent skin-contact with
extreme temperature surfaces.
Good impact resistance. Allows
repeated deflections without being permanently deformed.
Slip resistant (with concave
bars and grit-top surface available)

Dangerous Goods Store FRP Grating. Now all
FRP grating can be supplied with a molded-on graphite surface 3mm (1/8-inch)
thick. A wire can be applied from this surface to the ground so as to
eliminate the danger of static electricity.

Fiberglass FRP

Fiberglass plate can also be
supplied and provides a durable and cost-effective structural panel that
can be used for flooring or walls

Plate is manufactured
by building up multiple layers of fiberglass reinforcement with
specially formulated resins resulting in a solid composite panel.

Excellent
bi-directional strength and corrosion resistance.

Ideal as flooring and insulation
over structural members or existing grating. Provides a solid
walkway.

Plate can be bolted
directly to structural beams and used as a wall panel resistant to
corrosive splash.

- V-CF: A premium resin offering
outstanding resistance to a wide range of highly corrosive
environments from acidic to caustic plus a high degree of solvent
resistance. It has a class 1 flame spread rating of 25 or less
according to ASTM E-84 tunnel test.

- I-FF: This resin system is designed
to meet corrosive conditions commonly found in meat production, food
processing, bottling and brewing applications. This isophthlic
polyester resin offers a flame spread rating of 30 or less as per
ASTM E-84.
|
- V-CR: This highly
corrosion-resistant resin is recommended for use where high
flammability conditions exist. Resin offers a flame spread rating of
10 or less on the ASTM E-84 tunnel test.
|
- O-AF: This is a resin system
designed for mildly corrosive environments. It has a class 1 ASTM
E-84 tunnel test flame spread rating of 25 or less for indoor use.
|
- I-IF: Designed for industrial and
chemical processing applications in moderately corrosive
environments. This isophthalic resin has a class 1 ASTM tunnel test
flame spread rating of 25 or less.

- O-AN: Similar resin as above type
O-AF but not fire retardant.
